i just have a few requests:

1. can we please snuggle All. The. Time.? because i am pro-cuddling.

2. would you please watch chick flicks with me? preferably ones with doris day? i really like her.

3. i think we should own road bikes. so we can go together. maybe tandem style (i like watching cute couples ride tandem together.)

4. i hope you don't mind warming up my feet -- which are cold 85% of the time. Your sister-in-law, Erin, will tell you how much fun it is when I slap my cold feet up against your legs... jus sayin'.

5. we should get season tickets to JAZZ games. okay?!?

North Field Youth Conference

There isn't anything I would have rather done this past weekend than to be a counselor at this amazing event.

I loved it.

I started off the week getting a little nervous. Thoughts running through my head like, "What if the group of girls that I am over hate me, and end up leaving because of something I say or do."

Then Wednesday night came.

I got to read get-to-know-you sheets about each of the kids that would be in our group. I just had such a wonderful feeling about the girls in my group.

Thursday morning - I finally got to MEET all of my Mia Maids.

All of them are so beautiful.. inside and out.

We had lots of bonding moments. Pretty sure all of them told me which boys they were crushin' on for the week ;) That's what us girls like to talk about. And a lot of spiritual moments as well.

And then Saturday night came. I didn't want to leave the wonderful Young Women that I have spent the last few days with. I have grown to love all of these girls --each so unique and individual.

I left with a little hole in my heart. I miss them already. I just want them to be safe, and to make sure that they will be alright. Sweet little Emma that last night says, "We can't leave without having our family prayer."

So we did.

I also taught them the cheer my family does after we have family prayer.

I have felt a small portion of the love that He has for each of his children this week.

He wants all of us to be safe.

He wants us to all make the right decisions.

He wants to make sure that we will be alright.

(I'm so glad He is in my circle of friends)

i used to make lists of things that made me happy..

but you know what i have realized recently?

that i don't need to make lists to think of reasons for being happy.

but that it is love of, from and for people is what truly makes me happy.

it is what heals me and moves me

and it is what actually makes me, me.

because the more i love, the more i find myself growing. and the more i grow, the more substance of me there is of me to just love others even more... if that makes any sense. (it does in my head.)

I'm not so much looking forward to the summer-time.

Which is strange.

Because I do love summer.

I am sooo ready for it to be August already.

August 12th to be precise...

that is 4 months away.

*sigh*

but you know what?

Missing someone gets easier every day because even though it's one day further from the last time you saw each other, it's one day closer to the next time you will.

missing you already...

and it looks like Rudy will be missing you too.

best spring break EVER

He's home!

Friday Jammie kept me nice and occupied.

went to the Holy Cow Boutique

picked up my paycheck

ate some lunch

played mario

etc.

I talked to Jacob's friend, Greg, to see what was all going down.

He was coming down with a few of Jake's other friends from Logan.

So Greg said, "alright we're leaving right now, so we'll be there around 6, okay?"

very good.

6 comes around.. no call.

then 7.

8 o'clock.

by this time my patience button is about to pop!

i must have called Greg's phone at least seven times... Sorry Greg.

then, just as i was on melt-down verge..

i hear a few car doors outside of my house, and some boys talking outside.

my heart i felt like was about to leap out of my chest

it started pounding so hard!

i opened the door.

saw Greg.

saw Josh.

saw Mike.

turned my head around the corner

and saw him.

.

.

best moment ever!

I gave him the biggest hug in the world, and that moment was kind of a blurr.. I think I may have said something really lame like, "I could hug you all day." bahaha

and this is why i had the best spring break EVER!
