Miss Utah 2011 Pageant

I love going to Pageants.

Especially when I know someone involved.

Caroline Liston

Miss Brigham City

She looked absolutely stunning. I only got the WOW factor when she walked out on stage. It was so great!

No false. That is a lie.
I also got it when Miss Payson walked out with at least 3 Bump-Its nested underneath her lovely locks..... darn it.

My other favorite part of the evening was getting my big toe stuck in between the two seats in front of me.

Yes. My TOE.

hahahahahahahahhahahahahahha.......

I do not suggest this to anyone.

I know you also did this as a child. Don't deny it!
not in any particular order
  1. go surfing
  2. learn to use chopsticks
  3. marry the man of my dreams
  4. buy an old house, fix it up, and live there
  5. have babies.
  6. see celine dion in concert
  7. live in a city (for a short time)
  8. watch the macy's thanksgiving-day parade - not on tv!
  9. ride a zip-line in a remote location
  10. go to hawaii
  11. have secret love notes throughout my newlywedded home such as-- Reminder: tonight, we make out.
  12. have a tree house in my yard
  13. have a tire-swing in my yard
  14. have a hammock in my yard
  15. have cherry blossom trees in my yard
  16. sing "I'm gettin' married in the mornin'" the day before marriage.
  17. have campouts in my livingroom. like in a tent...
This is all I can think of at the present moment.

NFYC

North Field Youth Conference

There isn't anything I would have rather done this past weekend than to be a counselor at this amazing event.

I loved it.

I started off the week getting a little nervous. Thoughts running through my head like, "What if the group of girls that I am over hate me, and end up leaving because of something I say or do."

Then Wednesday night came.
I got to read get-to-know-you sheets about each of the kids that would be in our group. I just had such a wonderful feeling about the girls in my group.

Thursday morning - I finally got to MEET all of my Mia Maids.

All of them are so beautiful.. inside and out.

We had lots of bonding moments. Pretty sure all of them told me which boys they were crushin' on for the week ;) That's what us girls like to talk about. And a lot of spiritual moments as well.

And then Saturday night came. I didn't want to leave the wonderful Young Women that I have spent the last few days with. I have grown to love all of these girls --each so unique and individual.

Amie - photographer
Emily - dances ballet
Emma - sings and plays guitar
Ellie - horse back rider
Karina - dance team
MaKenna - gymnast
Lisa - miss fashionista
Sarah - soccer pro
Paige - swimmer
Shaylee - photographer

I left with a little hole in my heart. I miss them already. I just want them to be safe, and to make sure that they will be alright. Sweet little Emma that last night says, "We can't leave without having our family prayer."
So we did.
I also taught them the cheer my family does after we have family prayer.
"To Eternity and BEYOND!"

I have felt a small portion of the love that He has for each of his children this week.

He wants all of us to be safe.
He wants us to all make the right decisions.
He wants to make sure that we will be alright.

(I'm so glad He is in my circle of friends)

Your Happily Ever After

I love today.

It is such a beautiful morning.

There isn't one cloud in the sky, and all of the flowers are looking as gorgeous as ever.

I read this talk this morning.

It was perfect. Just what I needed to hear.

Youth Conference is this week, and I have been trying to think of what I want to share with the girls that I will be over. I think that I definitely need to share bits of this talk.

Our theme is:
We Believe
"Seek the Hero[ine] Within"

Already, before even meeting them, I have so much love for these girls. I can already recognize their eternal worth, and I can not wait to help these girls recognize it for themselves.

"Be strong and of good courage. You are truly royal spirit daughters of Almighty God. You are princesses, destined to become queens. Your own wondrous story has already begun. Your “once upon a time” is now."
-Deiter F. Uchtdorf

Hope you have a lovely Sundee.

I kind of felt a bit guilty after this past Memorial Day Weekend.

I didn't do anything to honor the people that I love who have passed.

That is why today on my way home from work,

I stopped to say hello to Aunt Carolyn.

She was so awesome.

I remember when we stayed at her house, we were having a snack.
Erin told my mom that she wanted a slice of bread with mayonnaise on it.
gross, I know.

After my mom said --Erin, that's gross, can you pick something else?
Aunt Carolyn goes, "Ya know what? I would like the same thing."

Not only this small story. So many other great things about her.

She has the coolest middle name too!

Love her.
